Xinning County Trains 1100 Participants in Livestreaming and Short-Video Marketing to Boost Mount Langshan’s Tourism and Local Industries

On October 31, a specialized training program on e-commerce livestreaming and short-video production was held at the Langshan International Convention and Exhibition Center in Xinning County, Hunan Province. More than 1,100 participants attended, including e-commerce professionals, livestream hosts involved in the “One Village, One Product” initiative, homestay and restaurant operators, as well as officials and staff from county-level departments and townships.
The training brought together leading experts from Liuzhou, Guangxi, a city renowned for its thriving e-commerce industry and famous Luosifen (river snail rice noodles) sector. The invited speakers included Yang Xiaoqu, a First-Level Chief Staff Member of the Liuzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce; Liu Kaimin, General Manager of Liuzhou Mofang Culture Media Co., Ltd.; Mo Qinji, General Manager of Guangxi Meiji Food Technology Co., Ltd.; and Feng Tiehan, General Manager of Guangxi Yitian Network Technology Co., Ltd.
Drawing on their extensive experience in the Luosifen industry, these government and business representatives shared successful practices in e-commerce operations, brand marketing strategies, and supply chain development.
The program was designed to support Xinning’s broader development agenda, with a strong focus on industrial growth, major projects, and new business opportunities. Building on the opportunities presented by the Zhangjiajie–Langshan–Guilin tourism corridor and the Greater Zhangjiajie International Tourism Zone, the county aims to develop two major industries—Langshan navel oranges and cultural tourism—each with an annual output value target of 10 billion yuan. The training sought to address gaps in digital marketing and harness e-commerce to upgrade local industries, expand the reach of tourism resources, and promote rural revitalization.
Throughout the sessions, instructors combined practical market experience with Xinning’s local industrial characteristics. Key topics included professional livestreaming scripts and presentation techniques, basic livestreaming operations, short-video filming and editing, paid traffic promotion, livestream campaign management, and supply chain coordination.
Covering the entire digital marketing process—from content creation and traffic generation to livestream sales and producer-market connections—the courses equipped participants with practical skills to promote local products online, build recognizable brands, and attract more customers.
This large-scale training initiative marks an important step in strengthening Xinning’s digital marketing capabilities. It is expected to open up new online channels for promoting and selling local agricultural specialties and tourism resources, further developing the Langshan navel orange industry, unlocking the potential of local tourism, and enhancing the international profile of the Mount Langshan tourism brand.
Looking ahead, Xinning will continue to prioritize industrial development, support agricultural products through e-commerce, and promote tourism through digital innovation. By cultivating more local livestreaming and e-commerce professionals and deepening the integration of distinctive local industries with the digital economy, the county aims to inject fresh digital momentum into high-quality economic development.
