Flowers Blooming Among Rocks: New Danxia Homestay Debuted Before National Day

The Lianhe Village in Langshan Town of Xinning County embraces a new cultural and tourism highlight. “Yan Zhong Hua Shu” (Flowers Blooming Among Rocks), a newly built homestay jointly developed by Chen Yibin, village Party branch secretary and veteran, and Mu Yang, a youth entrepreneur returning to her hometown, officially opens to guests. Blending distinctive Danxia mountain scenery with trendy lifestyle experiences, the homestay has gained huge booking popularity ahead of the holiday, with rooms fully reserved until October 4. It strongly boosts local rural tourism and helps villagers increase income and achieve common prosperity.

Nestled against natural Danxia rock walls, the homestay is named “Yan Zhong Hua Shu”, symbolizing tenacity, vitality and blooming hopes growing out of rocky crevices. It features complete supporting facilities including guest rooms, a restaurant, a coffee bar and a kiln baking experience area, perfectly integrating wild mountain scenery with modern leisure experiences. The courtyard’s bonfire night view creates a warm and immersive atmosphere.

The project adopts an innovative cooperative model: Chen Yibin takes charge of site operation and daily management, while Mu Yang focuses on creative business planning and featured services, skillfully combining authentic rural charm with contemporary artistic lifestyle.

“Urban life pursues fast-paced results, while the mountains teach us to blossom slowly,” shared Mu Yang, person in charge of the homestay. “We hope local villagers can embrace trendy new lifestyles, and visitors traveling from afar can feel as relaxed and comfortable here as in their own home courtyard.”

Previously, Chen Yibin founded Lianhe Village’s first homestay, “Xinglin Courtyard”. With authentic rural cuisine and thoughtful hospitality, it has been rated as a four-star homestay and become a well-known online-famous check-in spot, letting local villagers truly witness how lucid waters and lush mountains bring tangible wealth. In 2023, Mu Yang, a writer and wine maker who returned to her hometown, founded her characteristic rice wine workshop, turning local rice wine into a popular cultural and tourism product. Sharing the same vision and complementing each other’s strengths, the two local pioneers teamed up to build this brand-new featured homestay.

Tourist Li Zongqing told reporters that he traveled all the way from Beijing to admire Langshan’s iconic Danxia landforms. After visiting Tianyi Lane in the afternoon, he found the homestay online with outstanding reviews, charming surrounding rice field scenery, considerate services, delicious catering and exquisite room decoration, and decided to stay here for the night, planning to continue his tour the next day.

A cluster of new business formats revitalizes local industries for shared prosperity. Since its opening, the homestay has created nearby job opportunities for villagers, enabled them to sell homegrown fruits, vegetables and free-range chickens, and lease idle rural houses. Many villagers have also learned new skills such as coffee making and baking, steadily benefiting from the booming tourism industry. Local homestay development has expanded from individual operation to clustered growth, continuously extending the rural cultural tourism and common prosperity industrial chain.

In recent years, leveraging the resource advantages of Langshan Scenic Area, Xinning County has rolled out supportive policies for the homestay industry, revitalized idle rural resources and cultivated local homestay brands. The number of high-quality homestays and characteristic inns continues to grow, making the homestay economy a pillar industry for rural revitalization and residents’ income growth.

Flowers bloom tenaciously among rocks, and mountains and waters fuel rural development. Under the foothills of Langshan Mountain, Xinning’s path of cultural tourism-driven common prosperity is becoming increasingly broad and promising.
