Shaoyang Hosts 2026 Zhangjiajie–Langshan–Guilin Tourism Promotion Conference
On October 16, 2026, Shaoyang hosted the 2026 Zhangjiajie–Langshan–Guilin Tourism Promotion Conference. Government and business representatives, experts, scholars, and figures from the cultural, arts, and sports sectors of Hunan and Guangxi gathered to discuss coordinated cross-regional tourism development and map out a vision for building the Zhangjiajie–Langshan–Guilin Golden Tourism Corridor.
The conference featured presentations on the cultural and tourism resources of Xinshao County and the Zhangjiajie–Langshan–Guilin tourism routes. Four premium itineraries were launched: “Hidden Realms: A Journey of Discovery and Adventure,” “Mountain Peaks and Forests: A Wellness Retreat Amid Mountain Living,” “Folk Traditions: An Immersive Cultural Learning Experience,” and “Zhangjiajie–Langshan–Guilin: A Journey Through UNESCO World Heritage Sites and 5A-Rated Attractions.” The itineraries cater to diverse visitor interests, including sightseeing, in-depth exploration, wellness holidays, and educational experiences.
The event also saw the signing of agreements for key cultural and tourism projects within Shaoyang and cross-regional cooperation initiatives along the corridor. A total of 11 projects were signed, including an integrated agriculture, culture, and tourism cultivation and breeding base in Xinning County and an agriculture-culture-tourism integration project in Tanfu Township, Xinshao County. These initiatives are expected to inject fresh momentum into the expansion and upgrading of Shaoyang’s cultural and tourism industries.

The conference highlighted that the value of the Zhangjiajie–Langshan–Guilin Golden Tourism Corridor extends beyond its connected landscapes and natural beauty. Its development is powered by the combined strengths of national strategic support, interprovincial collaboration, and evolving market demand.
As a pivotal hub along the corridor, Shaoyang will seize emerging opportunities and fully recognize the distinctive value of connecting destinations across mountains and regions. The city will promote the complementary beauty of Zhangjiajie, Langshan, and Guilin, while harnessing culture to tell compelling stories of how their landscapes, traditions, and communities coexist and thrive together.
Shaoyang will also work closely with Zhangjiajie and Guilin to jointly develop tourism products, coordinate marketing campaigns, and strengthen visitor services. The three destinations will advance a joint initiative to exchange 100,000 tourist visits among the three areas, accelerate the implementation of signed projects, and work together to establish a distinctive cross-provincial tourism brand that integrates culture and travel.
